David Ford - LLB (Hons)
David Ford is a native of Sutton Coldfield and was educated at Bishop Vesey Grammar School. He graduated from Birmingham University with a first class Honours degree in law and was admitted a Solicitor in 1965. Becoming a Partner in Argyles in 1967, David is now the Senior Partner in the firm.
Terence Wilkinson - LLB (Hons) FCIArb
Terry Wilkinson spent his boyhood in Cheshire and had a traditional grammar school education before reading law. Graduating with an Honours degree from London University he obtained his professional qualifications after studying in Birmingham. Terry joined Argyles as an articled clerk in 1974 and was admitted a Solicitor in 1976. Terry is now Managing Partner in the firm.
Charles Lorton - LLB (Hons)
Charles Lorton was educated in Birmingham and thereafter graduated with an Honours degree in law from London University. He obtained his professional qualifications in Birmingham and was articled to a long established commercial practice in the City. Admitted a Solicitor in 1977 he had considerable experience in contentious business before becoming a Partner with the same firm. Charles has been a Partner with the firm since 1985. A fluent German speaker his European connection is an asset to the firm.
Gail Willoughby - MA.LLB (Hons) TEP ATT Member of Panel of Receivers
Gail Willoughby was born in Lichfield. She graduated with an Honours degree in law from the Staffordshire University and went on to gain a Masters Degree from Keele University.
Gail completed her training with a local firm in 1998 and after a further two years gaining experience in a variety of legal work joined Argyles in 2001 in order to progress her career.
Argyles are pleased to announce that Gail became a partner on 1st October 2008.
Lisa Collett - LLB (Hons)
Lisa Collett graduated with an Honours degree in law from Lancaster University in 1997. Lisa spent several years working in Housing Benefits, before completing her legal studies at De Montfort University.
Lisa completed her training with a firm in Rugeley and qualified as a Solicitor in 2004.
Lisa has specialised in property work since qualification and joined Argyles in 2007 in order to progress her career.
Iqbal Singh Kang - B.A. (Hons.) LL.M. (Commercial Law)
Iqbal was educated in Tamworth and thereafter graduated with a dual Honours degree in Law and Criminology from Keele University and then graduated with a Master of Laws degree in Commercial Law from the University of Birmingham. He completed his professional qualifications at the College of Law, Birmingham.
Iqbal completed his training with a local Tamworth firm and was admitted a Solicitor in April 2009. He joined Argyles later the same year in order to progress his career where he founded and established the Prison Law Department. He is the Head of the Prison Law Department and has been approved by the Legal Services Commission as a Prison Law Supervisor.
Iqbal is one of the country's leading prison law specialists. He advises and assists some of Britain's most dangerous prisoners and regularly represents the interests of prisoners before the Parole Board for England and Wales and the Independent Adjudicator in respect of prison disciplinary proceedings.
Liam Wdowiak - LLB (Hons)
Liam Wdowiak was born in the West Midlands and has lived in the region all of his life. He attended university in Birmingham, graduating in 2005 with an Honours Degree in Law with American Legal Studies.
Liam joined Argyles in 2007 after completing his Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law. He has since completed his Training Contract and is now a Solicitor with the firm.
